Your adventure begins as you board your flight to Paris, France.

Morning/Afternoon:

Arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. After clearing customs and immigration, meet your CEPA on-site coordinator who will be available to introduce you to France today. A private coach bus will take you from the airport to your accommodation in Paris. Check into your room and then start off your program with a welcome orientation provided by your coordinator. Afterwards, join a guided boat tour on the famous Bateaux Parisiens. The tour starts at the Eiffel Tower and will give you a first impression of Paris and its sights. Evening: A special Welcome Dinner awaits your group at a restaurant in Paris.

Day 3 >> Mon. August 27: (Paris)

All day:

Today, 2 visits to compliment your course will be arranged. Possible sites include, for example, the International Chamber of Commerce & International Court of Arbitration, the OECD or the UNESCO.

Day 4 >> Tues. August 28: (Paris-Strasbourg)

A private coach bus will be charted exclusively for your group's transfer to and from the train station. Train tickets for the TGV from Paris to Strasbourg will be arranged for your group. 26 nights in twin with shared bathrooms incl. breakfast at the CEPA study center, Chateau de Pourtales,in Strasbourg.

Morning:

Free morning for some last-minute explorations in Paris on your own. You may, for instance, visit the famous Musee du Louvre, take a stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg or spend the morning in the picturesque Montmartre Quarter.

Afternoon:

In the afternoon, board the TGV high speed train from Paris to Strasbourg to your next destination: Strasbourg, the "Capital of Europe".

Evening:

You will be welcomed by the team of the Chateau where you will spend the next 3 weeks and can enjoy a welcome orientation and tour of the facilities as well as a walk through the Parc de Pourtales.

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Strasbourg and its surroundings on your own. You may e.g. take the train to the beautiful university town of Heidelberg or to Lake Zurich.

All Day:

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Strasbourg and its surroundings on your own. Except from many sights in Strasbourg like the Strasbourg Munster, Rohan Palace, and La Petite France, you can opt to visit Colmar, the capital of the Alsatian wine, Freiburg in the Black Forrest or go on an excursion to the Swiss mountains.

Day 17-21 >> Mon. September 10- Fri. September 14 (Strasbourg)

Possible visits and excursions in Strasbourg and the Alsace include, for example: A tour of the Alsatian wine route with a visit to the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle.

Possible visits and excursions in and around Strasbourg include, for example: The Mercedes truck assembly plant in Worth or the Alsatian Museum.

Free day for coursework and last-minute explorations in Strasbourg.

Day 30 >> Sun. September 23: (Strasbourg-Berlin)

A private coach bus will be chartered exclusively for your group's transfer to and from the train station. Train tickets for the train from Offenburg to Berlin will be arranged for your group. 24 nights in twin or triple rooms with shared or private bathrooms at a youth hotel or apartments in Berlin

Morning:

Take the train from Offenburg to Berlin, the capital of Germany.

Afternoon:

Upon your arrival in Berlin, your on-site coordinator will meet you for an in-depth orientation session and neighborhood walking tour to make you familiar with the city and with the facilities available to you. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Berlin on your own and get settled.

Day 30-34 >> Mon. September 24-Fri. September 28: (Berlin)

Class time in Berlin In addition to regular class, two half-day or one day excursion will be arranged to compliment your course and enrich your cultural experience. Possible visits and excursions in and around Berlin include, for example: The German Parliament (Reichstag) and the Jewish Museum.

Day 35-36 >> Sat. September 29-Sun. September 30: (Berlin)

All Day:

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Berlin and its surroundings on your own. You may e.g. visit the Brandenburg Gate, take the elevator to the top of the TV tower on Alexanderplatz, visit nearby Potsdam with the famous Palace Sanssouci and its Dutch Quarter and mingle with the locals to get a better sense of the German culture.

Day 37-41 >> Mon. October 1-Fri. October 5: (Berlin)

All Day:

Class time in Berlin In addition to regular class, two half-day or one day excursion will be arranged to compliment your course and enrich your cultural experience. Possible visits and excursions in and around Berlin include, for example: The Checkpoint Charlie Museum and the GDR Museum.

Day 44-48 >> Mon. October 8-Fri. October 12: (Berlin)

A private coach bus will be chartered exclusively for your group's transfer to and from the train station. Train tickets from Berlin to Prague will be arranged for your group. 27 nights in twin or triple rooms with shared or private bathrooms at a youth hotel or apartments

Morning:

Your day begins as you travel to the fourth destination of your semester abroad: Prague, the Golden City in the Czech Republic. The train will bring you from Berlin to Prague in less than 5 hours.

Afternoon:

Meet your on-site coordinator for a welcome orientation and get to know Prague and your new surroundings a little better. After this first overview, take some time to relax and/or explore Prague on your own.

Day 55-59 >> Mon. October 22-Fri. October 26: (Prague)

Class time in Prague

In addition to regular class, one half-day or day excursion will be arranged to compliment your course and enrich your cultural experience. Possible visits and excursions in and around Prague include, for example: The Kafka Museum or a Czech newspaper (e.g. MF Ones).

Day 60-61 >> Sat. October 27 ¬Sun. October 28: (Prague)

All Day:

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Prague and its surroundings on your own. A visit to the impressive Prague castle should not be missed. Furthermore, you may want to go on an excursion to Pilsen, famous for its beer brewing traditions or spend a day in one of the country's numerous spa towns.

Day 69-73 >> Mon. November 5-Fri. November 9: (Prague)

Day 81 >> Sat. November 17: (Prague-Budapest)

A private coach bus will be chartered exclusively for your group's transfer to the train station. Train tickets for the overnight train from Prague to Budapest (4 to 6 person sleeper cabins) will be arranged for your group.

All Day:

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Prague on your own.

Evening:

Say goodbye to Prague and continue your journey by overnight train to Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Day 82 >> Sun. November 18: (Budapest)

A private coach bus will be chartered exclusively for your group's transfer to your housing. 
28 nights in twin or triple rooms with shared or private bathrooms at a youth hotel or in apartments in Budapest

Morning:

You will arrive in Budapest in the early morning where your coach bus and coordinator will meet you and bring you to your housing. Afterwards, a breakfast awaits you, followed by an in-depth orientation session and neighborhood walking tour to make you familiar with the city and with the facilities available to you.

Afternoon:

The remainder of the day is yours to explore Budapest on your own and get settled.

Day 83-87 >> Mon. November 19-Fri. November 23: (Budapest)

All Day:

Class time in Budapest In addition to regular class, one half-day or day excursion will be arranged to compliment your course and enrich your cultural experience. Possible visits and excursions in and around Budapest include, for example: A guided bus tour of Budapest or Schindler's Factory & Museum.

Day 88-89 >> Sat. November 24-Sun. November 25: (Budapest)

All Day:

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Budapest and its surroundings on your own. Cons!der visiting Szekesfehervar, south-west from Budapest. An expressway and fast trains make it easily accessible for a day trip. In the early days it was the capital of Hungary, and kings, including St. Stephen, were crowned in the Basilica. The Basilica and the early 1th to 14th century fortifications are now ruins, but in the 17th century many fine Baroque buildings were constructed including the present cathedral in which lies the tomb of St. Stephen.

Day 90-94 >> Mon. November 26-Fri. November 30: (Budapest)

Class time in Budapest In addition to regular class, one half-day or day excursion will be arranged to compliment your course and enrich your cultural experience. Possible visits and excursions in and around Budapest include, for example: The Museum of Ethnography or the US Embassy.

Day 95-96 >> Sat. December 1-Sun. December 2: (Budapest)

Free weekend for coursework and to explore Budapest and its surroundings on the Czech Senate & Wallenstein Palace.

Day 97-101 >> Mon. December 3-Fri. December 7: (Budapest)

All Day:

Enjoy your last day in Budapest for final discussions, and wrap up of the program.

Evening:

A Farewell Dinner will be arranged for your group at a restaurant in Budapest.

Day 110 >> Sun. December 16: (Budapest)

Your private coach bus will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Budapest airport. Begin your journey to return home.
