College of Professional Studies
The College of Professional Studies at Chancellor University focuses on enabling students to achieve their career and personal goals through engaged learning, innovative and interactive instruction, and enriching interaction between students and faculty. Grounded in a long tradition of service to society and the world, the College of Professional Studies is committed to a rewarding, reflective, and applied educational experience that empowers students to make a difference in the workplace, the community, and national and international settings.
The College currently offers four academic programs, which include Criminal Justice, Health Services Management, Paralegal Education and Public Administration, each of which embodies the University's mission. The programs provide students with a quality education and a curriculum that draws from a range of academic disciplines, while allowing students to specialize in their particular fields of study. The programs are delivered in flexible formats, including face to face, on-line, accelerated and off-campus.

Program Options
Paralegal Education
Since 1980, Chancellor University's Paralegal Education programs have been approved by the American Bar Association, making them one of the oldest, approved institutions in Ohio. The Chancellor University Paralegal Education Programs prepare students to succeed in fields such as law firms, corporate counsel offices, government agencies, insurance companies and financial and non-profit institutions. Students gain the skills, knowledge and understanding of the legal system necessary to work closely with attorneys to effectively deliver services. Although paralegals are not licensed to practice law and /or give legal advice, they perform much the same work as attorneys and are bound by the same ethical principles.

Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice Program is designed for individuals interested in all aspects of the criminal justice field. Whether seeking a new job in the criminal justice field, or seeking an opportunity for professional advancement, Chancellor University's Criminal Justice program provides numerous options for students at all levels. Students, especially police officers, who have completed approved peace officer training, may also qualify for block credit toward their degree.
The Criminal Justice Program is designed to give the working professional the opportunity for a flexible, real-world education. Classes are small, interactive and entrepreneurial in nature. The required core of courses consists of upper level courses that prepare students who are interested in professional development or career advancement in challenging and dynamic careers within the criminal justice field.
Students who are law enforcement officers and have completed a course of study at a state certified police academy (such as those certified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council) may qualify for up to 33 semester hours of block credit. Also those currently employed in the law enforcement field (at the local, state, county or federal level) may qualify for a 25% tuition reimbursement.

Health Services Management Program
Chancellor University's Health Services Management is a fully accredited program that prepares students for a successful career in management in the health services and health care field.
Students gain a thorough background in the qualitative and quantitative skills needed for decision-making in the critical areas of healthcare management. The curriculum covers the key areas of health services administration.
Students who have already completed appropriate nursing, EMT, radiology or other health care technology training may be awarded 24 hours of block credit toward this degree.

Public Administration
Public and non-profit agencies represent one of the fastest-growing segments of our economy. One out of every seven persons in the total workforce is employed by public and non-profit agencies. Persons employed in the field of Public Administration work in federal, state, and local government units, as well as law enforcement, medical care, educational and welfare agencies. Each year government and non-profit agencies offer several thousand job opportunities for trained personnel. Employment forecasts indicate continuous growth of public sector employment in the years to come.
Public Administration program prepares students for roles that touch all aspects of public service. Graduates play prominent roles in the operation of non-profits, non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, and public interest agencies. The program uses an interdisciplinary approach and integrates theory with practice. The internship component of the program enables students to gain insights into the day to day workings of public sector agencies.
