Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You are invited to Chancellor University's Grad Fair 2011. Each year Chancellor University's faculty and staff host this annual reception in your honor, including online students, to celebrate with you and assist you in finalizing graduation details.

Graduation details to be included at Grad Fair 2011:
  • If necessary, you will complete the Financial Aid Exit Interview
  • Review your account balance and make a payment to the Business Office
  • Confirm personal information for your degree with the Office of Academic Records
  • If applicable, receive your honor chord
  • Receive up to 6 Commencement tickets
  • Reserve disability seating for your guests and special accommodations tickets for them

COMMENCEMENT DAY - Sunday, May 8, 2011
Registration for graduates on Commencement Day will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre. Rehearsal for graduates will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Because there is no place to keep your personal belongings secure when you march in procession to the Ohio Theatre, please limit the size and amount of valuables to essentials that you can carry with you. Please do not carry large purses, garment bags, or totes in procession.

REGALIA
Chancellor University has coordinated with Herff Jones to provide our graduates an opportunity to purchase Commencement regalia. We selected the ClassKeeperTM product, which is considered the best quality souvenir cap and gown in the industry. The ClassKeeper™ products are manufactured in the U.S.A. This premier fabric is 100% polyester and nearly wrinkle-free. Students will pay for their regalia with a credit card by ordering online at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation. In addition to ordering online, a Herff Jones representative will be on campus on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

ClassKeepers will be packaged with all of the necessary regalia accessories. Associate degree students will receive a "Stole of Gratitude" with their unit to be worn during the ceremony. The DEADLINE for ordering regalia is April 12, 2011. The Herff Jones website will be closed after that date.
  • Graduate degree candidates will receive a gown, graduate degree hood, cap, and tassel.
  • Bachelor degree candidates will receive gown, cap, and tassel.
  • Associate degree candidates will receive a gown, cap, tassel, and stole of gratitude.
Graduates are required to wear the appropriate graduation attire selected by the University, according to their earned degree in order to participate in the Commencement ceremony. Graduates not wearing the approved regalia will not be permitted to march in the procession.

HONORS
Graduates achieving Summa Cum Laude (3.833) will receive a gold honor chord and graduates with Magna Cum Laude (3.600) will receive a silver chord. Those graduates earning Cum Laude (3.400) will receive a powder blue chord.

GARMENTS WORN UNDER REGALIA
Regalia is considered formal attire and requires appropriate clothing accessories. It is recommended that you wear dark colored clothing and shoes with low heels.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chancellor University has coordinated with Herff Jones for the printing of Commencement announcements. You have the option to personalize your announcements with your name and degree.

Announcements may be ordered from the Herff Jones website at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation Please allow three weeks for the manufacturing of your custom announcements. Once printed, announcements will be shipped to the address you provide on the online Announcement Order Form.

CLASS RINGS
Many students choose to commemorate their academic achievement by ordering a class ring. A representative from Herff- Jones will be present at Grad Fair on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the MidTown Campus to sell the rings. Rings may also be purchased online at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation.

TICKETS
Every graduate is entitled to six (6) Commencement tickets. These will be available at Grad Fair. If they are not picked up at Grad Fair, by the graduate, they will be mailed the next day to the address we currently have on file for you. Any graduates sent tickets that will not be used should be sent back by April 12, 2011.

EXTRA TICKETS
Extra tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email your request to CUcommencement@chancelloru.edu before April 12, 2011. No phone orders will be processed.

ALUMNI TICKETS
Alumni may receive tickets for Commencement by emailing your request and mailing address to CUcommencement@chancelloru.edu before April 12, 2011. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis after all graduate orders have been filled. No phone orders will be processed.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
If you have guests with disabilities, or who cannot walk stairs, arrange for their seating and early arrival to the Ohio Theatre. If you or any of your guests require special seating accommodations, please complete the form on this website by no later than Monday, April 12, 2011. Tickets for Special Accommodations will also be available at the Grad Fair on Tuesday, March 16, 2011. This seating is by reservation only, first-come, first-served seating.

GUESTS OF GRADUATES
The Commencement Program will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. We have arranged a meaningful program for your Commencement. The main doors to the Ohio Theatre will be closed to guests and be readied to receive the procession at that time.

POST-COMMENCEMENT RECEPTION FOR GRADUATES
A reception for graduates, families, faculty, staff, Board of Trustee members, and friends will immediately follow Commencement in the lobby of the Ohio Theatre.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF GRADUATION
Chancellor University's Commencement will be photographed by Lifetouchevents.com. Images taken of graduates receiving their diploma can be viewed 48 hours after the event and will be available for 90 days online following Commencement. Prints may be purchased through lifetouchevents.com. If you elect not to have your photographs posted, contact removephoto@lifetouchevents.com, or you may phone the Lifetouch office at 440-526-5599. The password code to see your pictures will arrive in another communication via mail.
